Kiwanis Hartwell — Weekly Bulletin
Monday Noon • Casa Grande • 392 E. Franklin St., Hartwell, GA
This Week
Program: Rick Glasco
No meeting next week (July 6) due to the July 4 holiday
Last Week’s Program Recap
Steve Farrar introduced Dr. Mike Edwards, Key Club advisor, history teacher, and coach, who is about three years from retirement.
Dr. Edwards shared Key Club background (founded in 1925; international since 1945) and spoke about how student involvement has changed over the years. The Kiwanis Hartwell club currently has 107 members, with about a third doing most of the work. He noted that many juniors and seniors aren’t regularly on campus, but they can still volunteer when there’s a clear community project.
Chuck Williams is collecting info for the website. If you’re listed as the head of anything, please send Chuck 3–4 sentences describing your responsibilities.
