The Bull-A-Ton — October 26, 2026
This Week
Jim Vandiver has invited Matt Gibbs, varsity basketball coach for the Hart County boys basketball program. Matt will talk about the upcoming season.
Last Week: New Officers and a New Year
The club swore in new officers and kicked off the 2026–27 year. Seth Baughman completed his year as president and became Immediate Past President. Jerry Cleary has taken over as president and shared goals for the coming year:
Add a new member each month.
Create greater awareness of Kiwanis.
Look for new fundraising opportunities.
Give more money to the community.
Develop programs that involve the entire club.
Chuck Williams was sworn in as President Elect, and David McClymont became Vice President. Chuck encouraged members to visit the club website, offer suggestions, and like and share the club's Facebook posts.
Community Events and Member Involvement
The club discussed its Christmas Party in December and participation in the Mayor's Monster Mash on October 28 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Railroad Street. Jerry asked our two newest members, Hector Collado and Randy Kazmer, to lead candy purchasing and booth staffing, with Chuck Williams volunteering to help.
Jerry emphasized the importance of greater involvement and keeping all members informed about club activities. The approved 2026–27 budget was also shared so members can see upcoming fundraising activities, planned expenses, and community donations.
New Officers Sworn In
The officers sworn in were Frank Dunn, Treasurer; Randy Daniels, former Lieutenant Governor of the 7th District; Seth Baughman, Immediate Past President; Jerry Cleary, President; David McClymont, Vice President; and Chuck Williams, President Elect. Steve Farrar, Secretary, was absent.
Welcome, New Members
The club welcomed two new members: Hector Collado and Randy Kazmer. Both received Kiwanis hats and pins and will introduce themselves to the club at a future meeting.
